Drapers, the leading fashion industry business magazine, have just completed a poll to find the best selling dress label. They spoke to 50 independent retailers asking them who is their best selling dress label and we are pleased to say that one of our collections took the title – Bernshaw . When you consider a label like Ted Baker only came in 5th it shows the class of Bernshaw. We have been stocking them for a few seasons and find them totally delish, obviously you do too!

The Three L’s

What a cracking day here at Berties…scrummy new stock flying out the door, Leonie nearly on top of her Autumn/Winter orders and Lottie, Lulu and Lola enjoying loads of attention in the office! Sophie has got most of the new Save The Queen pieces onto the website much to your delight and if you visit the What’s New page you’ll see the latest spring/summer Boutique Clothing…yipee! And don’t worry there’s lashings more to come.
Well it’s now 5.30pm on Friday and I’ve got three little pups with full bladders waiting patiently for their walk home so I’ll say good bye for this week and have a great weekend – ‘Av One’ !

Welcome Naz, Laura and Alice

As you may know by now Sian is no longer with us leaving a small hole to fill. Naz has partially filled it with two days a week, she works every Saturday and one other day during the week. As soon as this buying period is over this should settle down to become a regular Friday. Naz, a mother of three with legs as long the school summer holidays, is a wonderful addition to the team, she is loved by all the other girls and I am also very happy with her as she makes me laugh a lot!
As far as the rest of the little hole is concerned we are lucky to have acquired the services of lovely Laura who you may be familiar with as she worked for us temporarily before Christmas. Laura is an AFQ (Academic Fashion Queen) achieving a ‘First Class BA with Honours’ degree in ‘Theatre and Performance Design – Set and Costume’. She studied at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts which is Paul McCartney’s university and she had the pleasure of meeting him at graduation. We are not sure how long we will be able to hang onto her as the West End is calling!
And finally we are flattered to have acquired the services of Alice, our gorgeous new Saturday girl. Alice is 16 with the maturity of a 21 year old and has the energy of a Grand National winner! Hopefully she enjoys working with us as much as we enjoy working with her and some of her energy rubs off on us older ones!
We should soon be getting their pics posted on our website so you can check ‘em out and let me tell you, you won’t be disappointed!

Parking For Berties

Parking Update:
This post is obviously for those of you that are local (and when I say local I mean live within a 60 mile radius as I know some of you travel a good hour to see us). The multi storey car park at the bottom of Guildhall Road (next to the open air one) is now FREE for the first hour…now I appreciate an hour is just not long enough when you’re having a ‘trying-on fest’ but take some comfort that your first hour is on the house! Obviously you can park in Guildhall Road (up to one hour) or just around the back in Fetter Street (up to two hours). There is also the open air car park in Albion Place which runs right up to the entrance of the Derngate Theatre which only leaves you a 30 second walk across to Berties front door…yeah-ha!

OMG – Sophie has been busy uploading the new coloured Skinny Jeans For Women to the website and they are flying out the door! Loads of the top celebs wear this great label from LA, those spotted in the last few days are Katie Holmes and Sarah Jessica Parker. Why do they wear Paige Jeans ? Probably because the fantastic fit knocks a dress size off and makes you look sexier than ever…go for it girls, I love it!
